German inflation continues to fall due to oil prices drop

Germany's inflation rate fell to 1.4 percent in November 2008, continuing its falling trend, the Federal Statistical Office Destatis said on Wednesday. In August, September and October, Consumer Price Index CPI was 3.1 percent, 2.9 percent and 2.4 percent respectively. For the first time since June 2007, CPI dropped below the 2-percent mark. The strong decline of the inflation rate in November was mainly attributed to the falling prices of crude oil in the world marke ...
