By Deepal TrivediAhmedabadNov. 6: A cashier of the State Bank of India SBI has been arrested after a vigilance team of the Reserve Bank of India detected that currency notes of over Rs 95.40 lakhs were missing from the bank. A police complaint has been filed against Kirit H. Purohit and he has been arrested by the Bhavnagar police. Unconfirmed sources claimed that the cashier lent out the money on high interest rates and a large chunk of this stolen money probably found its way in the stock market too.The sources claimed, Mr Purohit had withdrawn the money from the bankâÂÂs currency chest for private lending besides investing in the stock market. He thought he would be able to replace the money but he lost heavily in the stock market.
