SPO14SportsJeev shoots 67, finishes 24th at Dunhill LinksSt. Andrews Scotland, Oct 6 IANS Jeev Milkha Singh primed himself up for a home challenge with a brilliant five-under 67 at the Old Course here that propelled him to a 24th place finish at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Sunday.The Indian ace, who will be the highest world ranked player at the Hero Honda Indian Open, totalled three-under 285.Jeev, who has won twice this year at Austria and Japan, had a four-under 32 for the front nine and then shot a one-under 35 on back nine for his 67. Robert Karlsson, meanwhile, beat Ross Fisher and Martin Kaymer in a three-way play-off to take the title.The Swede shot 65 to finish with a ten under par total of 278 but a birdie at the first extra hole gave him victory and took him top of The Order of Merit.Karlsson, who won the Mercedes-Benz Championship in September, got off to a flying start with three birdies in his first four holes.He also picked up shots at the seventh, tenth, 11th and 14th to leapfrog Lee Westwood and Padraig Harrington at the top of The Order of Merit with a bogey free 65.Fisher played the front nine in a five under 31. The Englishman posted five birdies before reaching the turn.Another birdie came at the tenth but Fisher dropped his first shot of the day at the par four 12th.
