"I was definitely looking for a whole different approach," says the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. The players from 2006's "World's on Fire" gradually moved on, replaced with traditionally rooted musicians open to Kazor's idea of recording all-original material. When banjo player Seth Folsom left during the making of the album, Kazor found himself in a completely new quintet, consisting of accomplished musicians based in Massachusetts, Vancouver, British Columbia, and Portland, Ore.
